Understanding Current
Issues
Business owners often find they are operating on ‘auto pilot’. One day is the same as the next, bringing with it ‘business as usual’ with its array of problems and issues in different areas of the business.
The review will not necessarily uncover the underlying causes for the problems but it gives the business owner a clear picture of the current issues and a roadmap to begin examining the issues in more detail and to plan solutions.
Before we begin any on-going relationship with a business we initially look to carry out a limited business review that provides the business owner and us with a clear indication of where the problems are manifesting themselves in the business.
Structure
Right customers – right products or services – right costs – right people in right positions.
Waste
Belief
Setting a vision and target (achievable but stretching) and instilling a belief within the team that the vision and the intermediate targets can be achieved.
This review is often the first time that a business owner takes time out to focus on looking at the business and it can become the ‘Stage 1’ starting point that ultimately leads to strategic planning.
Strategic planning brings clarity of purpose and a greater likelihood of business success leading to financial security for the business and its owner.
